Nicola L. Robinson is an artist and illustrator based in the city of Nottingham, UK (of Robin Hood fame). She has a degree in Fine Art from the Cardiff School of Art and a lifelong love of drawing and creating.
Her favorite subjects to draw include monsters, dragons, animals and buildings, particularly old crooked ones with lots of windows and anything a little on the creepy and gothic side. She also loves history, mythology and fairytales too.
Her work is predominately for the children’s market but she also does other work for other markets too. Her work to date includes illustrations for book covers, novelty popup book s, picture books, decorative borders, illustrated maps, pen and ink illustrations (she really loves working in pen and ink), hand lettering and also illustrations for magazines and digital media.
Her clients include Pan Mac Millan, Vintage Books, Harpercollins, The AA, Hodder & Stoughton and Anova Books. She has also cooperated with Floris Books, Randomhouse, Egmont, New Law Journal, Origin Publishing, Tango Books, Gomer Press, Carlton Books, Bertelsmann NY and Quiller Books.
