❧ Personal Note:
He’s my favorite artist. He’s very special and I’ve never seen any art similar to his own. His art inspires me so much! Maybe I should have written an article about him a long time ago but it’s never too late! And I’ve promised to myself that when, I return back to my appartment, I will definitely buy a piece of art from him!
Alexander Jansson born in Uppsala, Sweden. He’s an artist, illustrator, graphic designer and animator. He has been educated in the fine arts at the New Domen School of Art in Gothenburg and 2d/3d Animation at the Steneby School of Design and Craft.
Fuzzy animals, Eerie plants, Fairytale-like houses, surreal and gloomy scenery. These are all part of Alexander Jansson’s digitally painted world. Colorful and dreamy, bleakly and mysterious, his illustrations invite the viewer to explore a world of feelings and emotions that goes beyond our wildest dreams. He created his own style called Greenpunk. He likes to combine traditional painting with both digital photography and Photoshop. So, his whimsical and imaginative style is a mixture of traditional and digital mediums such as paintings, photography, drawings and 3d objects.
He has collaborated with clients such as NYC Ballet, Bonnier Carlsen, Filtro Magazine, City Theater Culture House, Disney Hyperion, Swedish Radio, Animation Dreamworks and Peace and Love.
He has created book jackets and interior art for Random House, Scholastic, Bloomsbury, Clarion, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Penguin, Pearson and Roaring Brook. He’s the Manager of Orchestre de Mystere and he runs his own design studio, intuitively called Sleeping House.
