One of the most beloved illustrators is Olga Demidova. She is a character designer and children’s books illustrator from Moscow, Russia. After working in Animation, she decided to dedicate herself to illustration and found a great joy in it! The most important thing for her is to share a moment of happiness with her audience.
From 2005 to 2009, she was animator at Metronome-Film Studios («Lullabies of The World» Project), at Animos and at Master-Film Studios. Since 2006, she deals with children’s book illustrations, she collaborates with various magazines, such as Misha Magazine and Poznaiko Magazine, while she’s an Apps Illustrator.
Since 2001, she studied Animation, Decorative Carpet Weaving, Graphic Design and more and she evoluted her techniques through various, notable colleges, such as Moscow Art Institute of Applied Arts, College of Cinematography and Television of VGIK, British Higher School Of Art & Design and Moscow State University of Design and Technology. She also made some exhibitions, such as “Quick Picks” in St. Petersburg, Russia (2008) and “Non-Fiction” in Moscow, Russia (2009 – 2011).
In 2010, the Moscow City Union of Russian Writers and the Union of Writers-Interpreters gave her the Commemorative Medal of “A.S. Griboyedov 1795 – 1829” and in 2013, she won the “Obraz Knigi” Recognition Award in Illustration for «Secret Dog» (2013). Olga Demidova is also member of International Arts Fund and Moscow Association of Artists.
